ANTHONY KOHRS
Anthony Kohrs has tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts throughout California. He has substantial experience defending personal injury lawsuits, representing auto and homeowner’s insurance carriers, commercial property owners, trucking and bus companies, bars and nightclubs, and public entities. Anthony also has substantial appellate experience in both the California Court of Appeal and The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Kohrs also advises clients ranging from small internet startups to Fortune 300 companies on matters involving breach of contract, intellectual property issues, trade secrets issues, and other business disputes. He provides outside general counsel services to companies of all sizes on matters including corporate governance, shareholder disputes, resolution of pre-litigation disputes, intellectual property issues, and other transactional matters. Mr. Kohrs has acted as lead counsel in contract negotiations and at all stages of litigation and arbitration, including jury trial and appeal.
Recent Verdicts and Results
Defense verdict following a four week jury trial in a real estate fraud case in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Affirmed on appeal.
Defense verdict in a premises liability wrongful death case in the San Diego Superior Court.
Defense verdict following a 12-week toxic tort jury trial in the Riverside Superior Court resulting in a $700,000 judgment for the defense.
Dismissal during trial in a federal trademark infringement action on behalf of an entertainment company sued by its former parent company for use of its corporate name.
